The UMBC Catholic Retrievers is a ministry of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Therefore donations are toward a 501(c)3 organization, the Archdiocese of Baltimore, designated to the UMBC Catholic Retrievers. Please contact us for our EIN if needed (umbccatholic@gmail.com).
Some different tax-efficient giving strategies that exist include: Donor Advised Funds (DAF’s), Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD’s), Charitable Remainder Trusts (CRT’s) & Donating appreciated stock to avoid capital gains tax
Others include: Employer gift matches, Dollar-for-dollar or challenge gifts, & Bequests
We are focused on encouraging alumni, family and friends to partner on mission with Catholic Retrievers especially through becoming monthly donors. In order to be support the ministry and sustain us for the future allowing us to budget well and be self-sustaining, we need your help! Over the next five to ten years, we hope to invite 200-250 partners to support the ministry reaching our goal of $21,000 per month ($85 per donor per month supports one student per year).
